A strength of NDT PaintBrush is its agility. The scanner is designed with magnetic wheels that stick to a metallic surface for easier use. For non-metallic surfaces, the wheels can be detached and replaced with composite dedicated wheels. The product’s intuitive makes user operation simple and quick.

Real-time onboard TOPAZ data position calculation allows moving freely on any 2D surface without any external mechanical constraint. Thanks to its magnetic, side-by-side wheels, NDT PaintBrush solution is a stable instrument that will stick firmly and that easily adapts to any magnetic surface. A new dedicated and intuitive interface for configuring your NDT PaintBrush scanner is included in UltraVision 3.7R1 Touch for TOPAZ.

This interface allows adjusting the positioning and references for the inspection by simply a few clicks on TOPAZ screen.

Probe Cursor


A dedicated reporting feature was added to present data from corrosion mapping applications in the reporting process.

This tool includes statistical measurement such as histogram information on the inspection reporting.


When inspecting a large surface, it is sometime useful to separate the inspection job in smaller sections for an easier approach.

Thanks to the new Data Stitching feature, there smaller sections can be easily reconstructed into one consolidated data file.

Data Stitching function allows adjusting the position of the data sections and correcting for angular misalignments.

C Scan Stitching


The new Auto TCG calibration allows the user to create multiple TCG points all at once. Using only one gate long enough to cover all reflectors, it is now possible to sweep through all of them and create all the TCG points in one step.


A new Data Export tool allows exporting inspection data into .txt files that can be used for further processing.

Works With A Complete Range Of Probes

Works with standard 1D PA probes which are compatible with TOPAZ32, Zircon, Dynaray and many other adaptors and electronics systems. The system allows for interactive probe detection and recognition. There are 19 different types of probes, varying in frequency, active aperture, pitch and number of elements. In addition, custom phased array probes and wedges can be supplied to meet specific requirements and applications.

Handheld Encoder

The TOPAZ32 handheld encoder is a mini encoder supplied with 5m of cable and a waterproof connector compatible with Zircon and TOPAZ32 systems. It includes a bracket kit to allow attachment onto Zetec wedges.
